About Me

My name is Brittanie Polasek. I am a former educator who is now a software engineer. I spent 9 years teaching high school math at a college-prep private school in Houston, Texas. Even though I am no longer in education, I still have a passion for math and teaching which is why I tutor in my free time. My goal as a math educator is to see students grow in their confidence and hopefully their love of all math subjects.

When I am not working or tutoring, I love spending time with my family and friends or binge watching the Food Network. I am also a huge animal advocate and I foster for Houston area rescues. I have four of my own dogs, two cats, and usually have a foster dog or two at a time!

Throughout my 9 years teaching, I have taught almost all the subjects that a student could take through their four years in high school. Here is a list of those subjects. If you are interested in a subject that is not listed, please contact me and I can see what we can do!

Pricing

Here are my prices (per hour) for tutoring based on age and content:

  • Middle School: $80
  • High School (non-AP classes): $90
  • AP Subjects/Test Prep: $100
If for some reason this does not work for you, please contact me and we can see if we can work something out. I believe no student should be at a disadvantage because of finances.
